There are many flooring and coatings manufacturers, but most do not have any idea what an applicator deals with on a project (leaky roofs, too hot, too cold, other trades) and many do not care. Not really. Most don’t even make their own product.

That’s where we’re different. We ask questions and rethink tradition, always standing on excellence.

Over the years, Res-Tek has been the choice for many high-profile clients in countless industries. Once a client has one of our floors, they see the value of their investment and they have a trusted partner when the next project rolls around.

Our President, Steve Lasko, has been on the floors and in the trenches just like you. He handles a trowel with skill and ease. He surprises his employees and his clients with his willingness to get dirty.

He once had a customer comment, “I have never seen a salesman, let alone an owner, handle material and equipment with such confidence.”

Steve has dealt with customers, contractors and architects just like you do. He understands working with a short pot-life material, or a competitor trying to knock your company out of the running for a job.

Steve began working in the commercial flooring industry soon after college and quickly started his own contracting business in Florida. By 1989, after moving to Atlanta (the hub of the South) he was installing floors in warehouses, poultry, and food processing plants throughout the Southeast. By the mid 1990’s, he had discovered the benefits of MMA (methyl-methacrylate) and quickly became the leading applicator in the US.

Doing this first-hand he learned what it took to provide an excellent flooring system product to the customer, and soon realized there was a need for more product consistency and quality of workmanship.

Res-Tek, Inc. was formed in 2002, and was the first US company to solely manufacture MMA (methyl-methacrylate) flooring. By producing the flooring compounds in-house, formulations could be controlled to provide the absolute best product in the marketplace. It also ensured raw materials could be sourced within the US, supporting jobs and our sense of American pride.

Because of Res-Tek’s dedication to quality and innovation, we’re always trying to better our products, exploring developments in chemistry and application techniques. Not only do we have a knowledgeable sales team and support staff, we also have an on-site chemist who works diligently to develop the best products for our applicators and end-users.
